When you taste Fårup’s homemade ice cream from Brogaardens Is, you’re tasting a little piece of the amusement park’s history. The name ‘Brogaarden’ comes from the old farm that once stood exactly where Fårup is today—long before roller coasters and ice cream shops popped up. In fact, Brogaarden was the farm that once owned parts of the land that is now Fårup Sommerland.
If you look closely, you can still catch a glimpse of Brogaarden when you visit the park. As you arrive, look to your left and you’ll spot a charming white farmhouse with a thatched roof—that’s Brogaarden. A lot has changed around it since the first brick was laid. The opening of Fårup’s very own ice cream dairy is part of the park’s 50th anniversary celebration. To honor the area's roots and preserve the connection to the park’s wonderful history, Fårup has chosen to keep the name alive in their new ice cream dairy. That’s why it’s called ‘Brogaardens Is
