Information for users of Fårup’s online booking and payment:

Sales and delivery terms
Below, you will find useful information concerning the use of online accommodation booking. Among other things, you can read about how we process the information you submit, how you will receive the receipt for your purchase, how you should behave during your stay, and much more.

Important! Remember to check that Fårup Sommerland is open on the days you want to visit us. There may be closures, particularly during the off-peak season - and Fårup Sommerland will not be held liable in these cases!


Payment terms
All prices reported in the online booking system are, as on all other parts of the website, given in Danish Kroner including VAT and all fees unless otherwise stated and clearly indicated by the situation in question.


Payment is made by using one of the approved payment cards/credit cards in online booking:
Dankort, Visa/Dankort, Mastercard DK, Mastercard, VISA, VISA Electron & JBC. Fees are applied following rates pursuant to the PSD2 directive.
The amount is specified on the payment site when selecting your credit card.
Travel documents shall be kept as vouchers.


Information concerning online shopping
You can safely shop on the internet using our online booking system. As consumers, you are safe in the event of any credit card abuse online. Therefore, there is no individual risk if a payment card is abused on the internet. You can read more about how you as consumers

Order confirmation/receipt
You will be sent an order confirmation/receipt from Fårup showing your purchase. Arrival and departure time will be stated in the order confirmation. You must confirm with the accommodation venue in the event that you will be arriving later than the booked arrival date. If you do not, Fårup may annul
your booking the day after the booked arrival date. In the event you for any reason do not receive your contract, and you have not received an error message from the system, you are asked to contact us at the address or the phone number below.


Right of cancellation
In accordance with chapter 4 Section 17, part 2, the right of cancellation does not apply with regard to accommodation as well as entertainment businesses. Therefore, reference is made to the cancellation terms mentioned below.


Cancellation terms
On cancellation more than 30 days before arrival, the entire package price will be refunded excluding a DKK 300 administrative fee. The amount will be calculated and a confirmation of this will be sent through the stated e-mail address. This calculation must be accepted by e-mail, and the registration number and account number must be stated as well. As soon as this acceptance has been received, we will transfer the amount electronically.

On cancellation between 30 and 8 days before arrival, 50% of the package price will be refunded. On cancellation less than 8 days before arrival, no refund will be granted.


Cancellation protection
Cancellation protection, equal to 5% of the accommodation cost, must be ordered and paid when booking the stay. Cancellation protection will take effect in the event the stay is cancelled due to acute illness, accident or death, affecting the person who booked the stay, their spouse, children, parents or siblings. (A doctor's notice is required). The entire accommodation fee will be refunded.


Changing your order
If you would like to change your booking to a different accommodation venue or a different period, this will generally be considered a cancellation and a new order.


Registration of information
Fårup registers names, addresses, e-mail addresses as well as other information acquired in conjunction with purchases in our customer database. This information will not be disclosed, but Fårup retains registered data for 5 years cf. the Personal Data Act.
Fårup uses server-side cookies and a secure connection to ensure the safety of the information you provide on the site.
When paying by credit card, registration is conducted via a secure server, where your information is encrypted before being transmitted through the internet.

Complaints processing
Complaints concerning the product (stay at Hotel Fårup or 'Skovbrynet') shall be made at once. Provided it involves the accommodation venue, you shall make an inquiry to the accommodation venue first, so that it may be possible to resolve the complaint. In the event it concerns your visit to Fårup Sommerland, please make an inquiry to the Information Office in Fårup as soon as possible. We will immediately attempt to remedy the problem as far as it is possible.

If we are unable to reach an agreement with regard the complaint concerning your stay at Hotel Fårup or 'Skovbrynet', complaints can be made at any time to the Package Tours Appeals Tribunal, as Fårup is, of course, a member of the Travel Guarantee Fund. Fårup will always comply with the verdict of the Package Tours Appeals Tribunal.

One year after receiving the product (the stay), the right to complain pursuant to the Purchasing Act's Section 83, part 1, will lapse unless otherwise agreed.

Force majeure

Fårup Sommerland cannot be made responsible or liable for damages when an event occurs (force majeure) which is beyond Fårup Sommerland's control.
This is the case, for example, with war, threat of war, natural disaster, nuclear disaster, riots, terrorist activities, threat of terror, adverse weather conditions, fire, import bans, health crises, epidemics and similar outbreaks, quarantines and isolations invoked by national authorities.
